Founded in 2024, Buntopia is a dedicated rabbit-only boarding service based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. We provide a peaceful, secure, and spacious environment designed exclusively for rabbits — no guinea pigs, no cramped hutches, and no compromises. Our mission is simple: to offer your rabbits the highest standard of care in a home-away-from-home setting, where their wellbeing comes first.
At Buntopia, we believe every rabbit deserves the freedom to stretch, dig, and relax — just as they would in nature. That’s why our facilities feature extra-large, purpose-built pens and safe outdoor runs, laid with either soft grass or bark to encourage natural behaviours. Whether your rabbit enjoys basking in the sun, doing zoomies at dusk, or quietly munching hay in the shade, they’ll find their perfect spot here.
What should I pack for my rabbit’s stay?
We recommend packing your rabbit’s favourite pellets, any current medications (with instructions), and a comfort item like a blanket or soft toy that smells like home. We provide fresh homegrown hay, lettuces, and enrichment — so there’s no need to pack those unless your rabbit is on a specific diet. If you’re unsure, just ask!
Can I visit Buntopia before booking?
Absolutely! We encourage visits — it’s the best way to see our facilities, ask questions, and meet the team. Please contact us to arrange a viewing appointment. For the safety of our guests, visits are by appointment only to minimise stress and ensure calm surroundings for the rabbits in our care.
Do you accommodate bonded pairs?
Yes, we welcome bonded pairs and ensure they stay together throughout their stay. Our pens are spacious enough for two rabbits to move comfortably and interact naturally. Just let us know in advance so we can allocate the right space.
What food do you provide?
We provide unlimited access to our own homegrown hay and fresh lettuces, along with safe, natural foraging items to keep your rabbit mentally and physically stimulated. We also supply Burgess Excel Adult Rabbit Nuggets as our standard pellet food. If your rabbit is on a special diet or prefers a different brand, we kindly ask that you bring their usual food to ensure consistency and avoid any digestive upset.
How often are the pens cleaned?
Each pen is spot-cleaned daily to keep your rabbit’s space fresh and hygienic. We always use dust-free wood shavings and soft straw in the bedding area to ensure comfort and reduce irritation. Full cleans are carried out regularly, and only rabbit-safe cleaning products are used to maintain a clean, healthy environment at all times.
Are the outdoor pens weatherproof?
Our outdoor pens feature waterproof shelters where rabbits can rest and stay dry, but the main exercise areas are open to the elements. For this reason, we only use the outdoor pens when the weather is suitable — ensuring your rabbits stay safe, dry, and comfortable at all times. During wet or extreme weather, they remain in their cosy indoor accommodation.
Can I check in on my rabbit?
Yes — every booking includes access to a live camera feed, so you can check in on your rabbit anytime during their stay. We’ll provide all the access details when you book, giving you extra peace of mind while you’re away.
What are your drop-off and collection times?
We offer flexible drop-off and collection times to fit around your schedule — including evenings and weekends. Just let us know your preferred times when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
